Planning on working out this morning? Here’s how to calm that red-faced glow

We’re being so good with our training lately, working out and feeling FANTASTIC.

The only problem is… how do we ditch that red-faced post-workout glow when it’s time to get back to work? It literally takes us an hour to cool down properly and honestly… who has the time?

We’ve found an amazing hack to calm the redness – a milk-soaked compress! Don’t be alarmed, this really works!

 

Speaking to Shape magazine, Dermatologist Shereene Idriss explained,

“The cold temperature, pH levels and proteins in a milk compress all have a heat drawing effect on the skin, which lessens the redness,”.

So breaking it down, if you soak a washcloth in cool milk and apply to your face you’ll pull away the extra warmth and contract blood vessels for a fast-acting effect!

Okay… time for the downside, your face MAY smell like milk, but that’s what showers are for! So apply the milk-soaked compress before you shower and there you have it!

You’ve done a kick-ass workout, and you don’t have the tell-tale signs of exhaustion lingering for the afternoon meeting.

Result.
