A woman has reportedly been rushed to the Mater Hospital, Dublin, with symptoms similar to that of the Ebola virus. A series of tests are being carried out on the woman, who was taken to the National Isolation Unit at the hospital earlier this afternoon from a premises in west Dublin. According to The Mirror, the woman was taken from The Plaza apartment complex in Tyrrelstown by ambulance as a precaution. It is understood that the woman had recently travelled from Africa and is at low risk of having contracted the virus. A spokesperson for the Mater Hospital confirmed the news: “I can confirm a woman has been admitted to the National Isolation Unit in the Mater Hospital at a low level.
