One of the highlights of our work here at Her.ie HQ is meeting the incredible women we feature in our weekly Irish Women in Business series. From every industry you can think of, these women of all ages and backgrounds are making their mark in their chosen fields.

We've teamed up with An Post Admailer.ie to pick ten Irish women at different stages in their careers who are set to hit it out of the ballpark in the year ahead.


1. Katie Tsouros

Founder of Artfetch, an e-commerce platform which showcases emerging artists from all over the world. The Artfetch team curate and select original content at every price point. 2. Erica Brennan


The owner of two successful Dublin businesses, Erica's business profile is set to continue to rise in 2015. 3. Michelle Darmody

The proud owner of two thriving Dublin cafés, Michelle is one of the city's busiest women. Not only does she run The Cake Café on Camden Street and SLICE in Stoneybatter (which she opened for business last year), Michelle has also released a book (The Cake Café Bake Book), writes a column for The Irish Examiner every weekend and is set to launch her own textile range this year. 4. Paula Rowan

When Paula started in the business world, she wanted her name to become synonymous with leather gloves, quality and elegance. Paula has achieved just that and a whole lot more with her range of leather goods and gorgeous store in Dublin's Westbury Mall. 5. Irene Trowell

Managing Director of Galway Laser & Skincare Clinic, Irene Trowell is the founder of the first dedicated laser clinic in the west of Ireland. Specialising in treatments including laser hair removal, medical microdermabrasion, glycolic skin peels, photo rejuvenation for broken veins, and laser tattoo removal, Irene's business is set to continue to develop in 2015. Click here for our full interview with Irene.

6. Rachel Kavanagh


Currently Managing Director at Glossybox UK and Ireland, Rachel has been making waves in the business world for several years having created Rockstar Tan after seeing a niche in the market for an organic self-tanning product. Already in 2015 Rachel has launched a new interactive editorial platform called Beauty Unboxed as well as special collector's monthly box designs. You can check out our full chat with Rachel here.


7. Emma O'Rourke

Last year 22 year old Emma founded Cheesín, a gluten free cheese snack company, based in Dublin 11. Inspired by her time spent in Brazil, Emma decided to bring  'pao de queijo' (Brazilian cheese bread) to the Irish market. With plans to have cheesíns available, not just in restaurants but also in stores around Ireland, Emma has grand ambitions for her brand in the year ahead. Click here for our full interview with Emma.

8. Kate O'Hara

Founder of café and fine foods store Kate's Kitchen in Sligo along with her sisters Beth and Jane, Kate's business is very much a family affair. Having bought the property in 2008, Kate has turned the store into a roaring success in the heart of Sligo, stocking everything from luxury bath and body products, to local, national and internationally-sourced fine foods. Click here for our full interview with Kate.

9. Natasha Lynch 

The founder of Essential French, Natasha has long been recognised as one of the leading innovators in the language education sector. Her consistently forward-thinking approach to using social media and online tools for her business means she has remained on top of her game for the past 18 years. 10. Hannah Nolan

Hannah is the brainchild behind Why Weight Ireland, an online weight loss and fitness plan that aims to change the way you think about food. Hannah began her successful business venture after shedding almost half her body weight by taking simple steps that didn't include unrealistic fad diets and setting herself achievable goals.
