In the latest in a series of stories that prove there is still hope for future generations, meet Keegan Keppner.
Ten-year-old Keegan was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer when he was just a baby. The cancer is terminal, but this young man is not focused on the disease that will one day claim his life.
Instead, he's using his time to make his dream come true. One of those dreams was to feed the homeless.
Last week, Keegan and his stepfather visited an area known as the Whoville camp in Oregon, days after members of the tent community there were issued with an eviction notice. The pair brought a homemade hot meal to feed those sleeping out in the area.
Keegan's stepfather told reporters; “It’s his disposition, ever since I met Keegan.” "He’ll always give you the shirt off his back and he doesn’t care who you are.” Keegan is planning to return to the area today with a homemade chili, again with the help of his stepfather. Speaking to ABC News, Keegan said; “It’s sad to see them suffer.” “There are a lot of nice people down there.”
