I mean… I can’t exactly imagine this drink has any health benefits but sure look…
Theresa Rowley from Michigan celebrated turning 104-years-old this January, a remarkable age to reach and she credits her longevity all down to good genes, exercise, Diet Coke actually.
Speaking to WZZM 13, she said: “I drink it because I like it, I’m going shopping Wednesday, and I need more Diet Coke. I have a bag full of empty Diet Coke cans that I need to return to buy more Diet Coke.”
Theresa has been drinking Diet Coke since it was first released back in 1982 when she was 68-years-old, since then she has had a can a day, never missing a chance to get that caffeine fix.
Now although Diet Coke has not scientifically been linked to “good health” or a long life for that matter, who knows, but Theresa believes it is the only clue for her long life, revealing that she never expected to live this long. She said:
“When I was 100, I thought I’d never be 104; I thought I’d pass away by that time but it just didn’t happen, then I turn 101, and nothing happens, here I am 104, and still nothing happens.”
Fair play Therz, you keep living that life girl.
As for the rest of us thinking of following Theresa, best to remember, everything in moderation.
