You can take us nowhere… 7 times Irish fans in France proved they’re the BEST in the world

You'll never beat the Irish (for craic).

You’ll never beat the Irish (for craic).

The behaviour of Irish fans at the Euro has done wonders for our reputation internationally.

Everybody is loving life in France and we’ve got the evidence to prove it…

The stories, images, and video clips below will have your patriotic Irish heart absolutely beaming with pride.

1. We found out who’s bringing the horse to France…

Ruby Walsh, one of the greatest jockeys of all time, *insert taking the horse to France joke here*, thought that he could keep a low profile and slip into France unnoticed but he had another thing coming, as he was spotted on a flight to France by a load of fellow Irish fans, who weren’t about to keep it a secret.

Unfortunately for Ruby, he couldn’t keep a low profile on a flight to France filled with fellow Irish fans… Cue chanting and hilarity.

His reaction is wonderful.

2. ‘Rock the Boat’ meets crowd-surf

Clinchy street brought to a standstill for this. Only the Irish.

3. #BazAbroad

Five Fermanagh friends were due to travel to France for the Euros, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Baz couldn’t make it. #PoorBaz.

After spending almost £600, including a ticket Ireland’s first match against Sweden, Baz had to pull out at the very last minute.

Undeterred, the lads thought they’d put him on a flag so he’d be here in spirit, a nice gesture, but it wasn’t enough. Upon further consideration, they thought a specially-made cardboard cutout of Baz would be way more personal. #BazAbroad

4. The Winner takes is all…

Our JOE and SportsJOE brothers are in France for the duration of the tournament, which allows them to be at the very heart of the action.

JOE editor Paddy McKenna was on the streets of Clichy ahead of kick-off and captured a beautiful moment between Irish and Swedish fans.

“See that girl, watch that scene, diggin’ the Boys in Green.” (This wonderful pun is courtesy of JOE’s Carl Kinsella).

5. Extra hands fans make light work…

There’s easygoing and then there’s this guy.

It seems that one French builder found himself a few helping hands along the way.

6. Frenchman has several hundred new friends…

No caption necessary. This is just wonderful.

7. #coyBIG

JOE’s Dep Ed and northern star, Eoghan Doherty, is at the heart of the madness capturing probably the greatest video of the tournament so far.

One very brave Irish gentleman strips on top of a van and the crowd GOES WILD.

After those lot, all that’s really left to do is…
