There are quite a few foods that are good for your sex life but none of them taste as good as chocolate. Here are five reasons it’s beneficial for when it comes to sexy time. (As with everything, eat it in moderation.)
1. It puts you in a good mood
Chocolate contains phenylethylamine which makes you more excited and thus boosts your sex drive. It also contains tryptophan which the brain can transform into serotonin, the hormone that makes you happy.
2. Keeps you awake
Cocoa contains caffeine which means that eating a bar of your favourite chocolate can keep you awake. In other words, you might have some time to kill before you’re ready to fall asleep. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
3. More satisfaction
An Italian survey apparently found that women who eat chocolate on a daily basis have higher libidos and are more satisfied than women who don’t.
4. Increased blood flow
It is said that chocolate can increase circulation which means it’s also good for your other half… or should we say a certain part of your other half.
5. Energy boost
If you’re feeling low on energy and need some stimulation, you usually reach for some of the good stuff which is why it’s also good for when you want to get busy between the sheets.
