4. The College Heartthrob
They say beauty is the eye of the beholder and it appears the just about everyone else in college is holding the exact same thing…
The college heartthrob is loved by all and although you now follow each other on Twitter and have exchanged sneaky DMs, you soon realise he’s got a few very attractive looking friends that are much more up for the craic.
5. Childhood Sweetheart
You’ve known him your entire life. You remember when you teased him at school about the girl he first kissed and now you’ve the urge to smooch him yourself.
You both question whether you’ve missed the biggest romance of your entire life, until things turn sour when you’ve your first night out alone with your new classmates and you agree it is best just leave it as friends.
6. The Guy On The Train
The commute to college is that little bit easier because you’ve made a connection with a guy on the train. When we say connection, we really mean eye contact. Simple, basic, no physical, eye contact, purely because you are too terrified to actually approach him and have a real conversation. Instead you settled for the exchange of pleasantries, and don’t forget that one day you actually sat next to each other… Fate!
Your love is cut short when he finally got that apartment he was looking at in the city and therefore had no longer a reason to commute.
7. Mr Popularity
Ah, the man about campus. There isn’t a person in college that doesn’t know his face and everyone wants to be friends with them, others, you included, want to be a little more than just friends.
You will eventually take off your rose tinted glasses and come to terms with the fact that you’re not comfortable sharing him with everyone else.
8. The Neighbour
You’ve settled in nicely to your new home and you’re settling in even better at the house next door…
Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours, with a little understanding you can find the perfect blend. Neighbours, should be there for one another, that's when good neighbours become good friends. Very good friends, until you move. Sometimes distance doesn’t make the heart grow fonder and the closest contact you now have is an odd ‘like’ on Facebook.
Travelling by train with Iarnród Éireann is the comfortable and affordable way to travel and they have great value student fares. Who knows, you may even meet the man of your dreams, just please chat to him!
If you have a valid Student Id and want to be in with a chance of winning a student return ticket to travel next Friday 24th October simply tweet your chosen origin and destination with #RailFTW and it could be you.
