“The influence of sleep on sexual desire and arousal has received little attention in the field, but these findings indicate that insufficient sleep can decrease sexual desire and arousal for woman,” said Dr. David Kalmbach, lead author and resident at the University of Michigan Medical School.
The research was carried out on 171 women over the course of 14 days, and tracked their sleeping habits over that period.
Not only did the results show that the likelihood of having sex after an extra hour of sleep improves by 14%, but it also showed that women who had more sleep got more enjoyment from sex.Explore more on these topics:
