A World Title and A Marriage Proposal: Not A Bad Day’s Work For Katie Taylor

As if winning a fifth world championship title wasn’t already the best way to start a Monday morning, Irish boxer Katie Taylor was also proposed to after her final in Korea this week. Kerry man and long-time Katie supporter Kenneth Quillinan flew down to Jeju to watch Katie’s semi-final and final fights on Sunday and Monday. Kenneth, originally from Tralee but now working as a university instructor in Daegu, managed to catch up with Katie in the boxer’s waiting room after her fight this morning and was on hand to pop the question. Kenneth pictured with Katie and his banner: "Katie Please Marry Me!! (Is That Ok Peter?)" Not only that, but Kenneth even had the respect to ask her father Peter first. Unfortunately for Kenneth, Katie left him with a ‘maybe’ ringing in his ears, but the legendary fighter let him take a snap with the gold medal and the champion's flowers, so we're sure that definitely cheered him up!
