Alan Rickman’s last recording was a voice over for a 30-second clip of a tortoise eating a strawberry.
The reason for the clip is a true testament to the kindness of his character.
The clip was created by a student organisation, One Click Giving. Rickman leant his support to the organisation to help them raise money for the refugee crisis.
The organisation works simply. For every view that a video gets, YouTube gives a cut of the advertising revenue to the uploader. The organisation then donate all the money they receive from their video to charities that help refugees.
Obviously, Alan Rickman’s participation aided the video.
The video was uploaded only a month before the stars passing and has amassed over 2 million views.
While tributes continue to pour in for the star, we’ll be sharing this video to honour his desire to help the lives of those affected by the refugee crisis.
