RTÉ’s Aengus Mac Grianna was caught out last night on the RTE News Now channel as the newsreader failed to realise he was on air, powder puff in hand.
He decided to use a quick off screen moment to apply a bit of makeup, adjust his tie and brush his suit down, but the camera was live once again.
Aengus replies to the poor soul who had to inform him he was on air with an indignant, ‘What?’.
We can just about see the fear in his eyes, “Oh no, YouTube’s going to get me…”
The power of the internet means the views on this video began to climb steadily throughout the night and his Wikipedia has also already been updated with the incident.
Poor Aengus is leaving a YouTube trail of hilarity behind him, it was only in December MacGrianna attempted to restart a news story, failing to realise he was live on air.
