She is known for getting stuck in during the shooting of her action films. For her upcoming release, Maleficent, it’s no different.
Angelina Jolie has been spotted recently with a harness on and being hoisted into the air by a large crane. And it’s not the first time she has done her own stunt work.
We take a look back at some of her most daring movie moments…
1. Tomb Raider – This was one film that left the audience with an everlasting image of Angelina Jolie as sexy Lara Croft and also left her with an everlasting memory. That is hanging from a chandelier for yonks.
2. Salt – For a role that was originally meant for stunt lover Tom Cruise, Angelina had to do all sorts including using weapons and fighting. We’re sure she won’t forget this film any time soon considering she still has a scar from a gun fight she shot.
3. Mr & Mrs Smith – Meeting her future beau Brad Pitt wasn’t the only thing Angelina did on the set of this 2005 action flick. She also got to kick butt, slide along the ground and jump out of a high-storey window.
4. Wanted – While we can’t say we loved the film itself we do love hearing that the leading lady did most of her own stunt work. Video footage shoes Ms Jolie hanging out of the windscreen of a fast-moving car. Sure she had a harness but still!
5. Gone in 60 Seconds – If there’s one Nicholas Cage film worth watching, Gone in 60 Seconds is it. According to reports most of the cast, including Angelina, took a course of stunt car driving lessons in preparation for their roles.
All we can say is rather her than us! Our bravery goes about as far as throwing a shoe at a small spider in the corner of the room.
