Annie Lennox is in Talks to Join The Judging Panel on The Voice UK

Annie Lennox could be joining the judging panel on talent show The Voice UK.

The singer recently appeared at the Olympic and Diamond Jubilee ceremonies and her popularity has soared this summer.

According to The Irish Sun, the Eurythmics singer is in talks with BBC1 to nab a seat on the judging panel after rumours circulated about the departure of Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J from the show.

Annie looks set to join remaining judges Will.i.am and The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue.

The There Must be an Angel singer has sold millions of records internationally both as a solo artist and as a member of Eurythmics.

A source in BBC said:  “Annie would be a great signing. She really knows her eggs.

“Last year’s judges were great but it would be nice to inject some new blood into the panel too.

“Last year Sir Tom proved that experience really counts and Annie’s got that in spades. She’s not afraid to give an opinion either,” the source said.
