Say it's not so!

There’s all kinds of tips and tricks to make your flight easier.

We’ve heard about which two words to use to get an upgrade, how to make sure you avoid being jet lagged and how to get an entire row of seats for yourself.

And now a flight attendant has revealed what drinks to avoid on an airplane – and the answer will make your stomach churn.

The woman, only identified as Betty, said that she works for a major american airline, but wants to remain anonymous to avoid being fired.

She said that while “bottled and ice water” is OK to drink, but that passengers should avoid drinks made with the water used for in-flight hot beverages.

So, basically, ditch the coffee and tea.

The reason why? Because it’s the same water that goes through the bathroom systems.

Describing the airplane bathrooms as the “most disgusting places on the planet”, she told Vice

“Coffee. Don’t drink the coffee on airplanes. It’s the same potable water that goes through the bathroom system.

“We recently had a test for E. coli in our water and it didn’t pass, and then maintenance came on and hit a couple buttons and it passed. So, avoid any hot water or tea. Bottled and ice is fine, of course.”
