Who Do You Prefer? One In Ten Women Love Their Pet More Than Their Partner

So the myth of the crazy single cat lady has finally been put to bed, as a recent study has found that one one ten women have admitted to loving their pet more than their partner. Proof that you can be a crazy married cat lady.  Over 2,000 females participated in a survey to find out just how much love and affection ladies had for their animals, with some surprising statistics revealed. According the The Telegraph, almost a third of women said they had the same feeling for the pets as they did for their significant other. The study, commissioned by the Brooke Animal Charity in the UK, also found that 81% of women regarded their pets as part of the family. 39% of those polled revealed they have often turned to their pet for comfort after being ignored by their husband or boyfriend. A spokes woman for the animal charity said, "Even the most perfect relationships have off days so you can understand how women might love their pets just that little bit more after a disagreement with their partner," "Pets can't answer back with sarcastic comments or moan about the state of the house so it's easy to have a blissful relationship with a pet, which can't always been said of human relationships." Almost 40% of the women, who were all in a relationship, believe there would be a bitter custody battle over the animal if the couple were ever to part ways.
