One the newest stars of RTE’s culinary drama RAW has admitted that despite the fact he plays a prominent role in the show, he’s never actually sat down and watched an episode. Awkward…
Michael Malarkey, who plays Jojo’s husband Anthony in the show, has admitted that he’s never seen an episode of RAW.
“I live in London so I don’t get to watch it on TV over here, but I’ve asked the producer to send me over the episodes – so I’ll have a dedicated DVD night when I get a chance,” said Michael.
The American actor also revealed that he has a little Irish blood in him, so it’s great to be starring in an Irish programme.
“I was born in Beirut, but we were evacuated by the American Marines when I was very young and I haven’t been back since,” said Michael.
“My mother’s half-Arab, half-Italian, though she was born in England, and my dad is Irish-American, which explains the name [Malarkey],” he added.

Michael would love to return to RAW for another season
The RAW season finale will be aired tomorrow night and if Michael is to be believed, we’re set for a tension-filled last episode.
“I can’t say too much, but fans won’t be disappointed,” said Michael.
The actor also gave a not-so-subtle hint that he’d love to be involved in the next series.
“I had a great time shooting in Dublin and made some great friends with the cast and crew, so it would be great to work with everyone again this year,” he added.
You can catch the last episode of RAW on RTE One at 9.30pm tomorrow.
