We have to admit that we couldn’t help but laugh when we came across the following story. A woman has been reunited with her handbag a whopping seven years after it was stolen from her.
The Sun reports that Parveen Ashraf’s handbag was stlen from her back in 2006, after a thief snuck into her home through an open kitchen door. The thief also nicked her son’s bike.
However, believe it or not, seven year’s later Parveen’s neighbour noticed a battered old handbag lying on the ground after he cut back a bush in the garden.
“The handbag had been just 300 yards from my house the whole time. I can’t believe it,” said Parveen.
“I guess the thief must have grabbed the £20 note that was in my purse and then flung the bag into the bush,” she added.

Amazingly enough the handbag still contained Parveen’s family photos, her driving licence and £250 that was folded up in a cheque book.
“I never usually have that amount of money on me, but it was for a special occasion,” said Parveen.
“The thief obviously didn’t check through the rest of the bag and the plastic on the ouside of the handbag has kept the notes safe all these years,” she added.
Talk about lucky, huh?
