Is it just us or are nuns getting up to some serious divilment lately? Back in Feburary, an Irish pub was fined €700 for allowing 51 ‘nuns’ to drink after hours. Now police in Colombia have arrested three ‘nuns’ who were caught trying to smuggle drugs under their habits!
Digital Spy reports that the women (who were not actual nuns by the way, just dressed as nuns) were stopped by customs after they arrived on the Caribbean island of San Andres.

We imagine these ladies will have to say some serious prayers now...
Apparently the women looked a bit nervous and dodgy (and seriously un-nun-like) so police grew suspicious and decided to search them. Imagine their shock when they found that the fake nuns had strapped more than two kilograms of cocaine to their legs.
The women reportedly hoped that their religious disguises would fool the authorities and that they would be able to get away with smuggling the drugs through customs.
It goes without saying that all three women have now been charged with drug trafficking. We reckon they’ll need to say some serious prayers to help them get out of this one!
