Irish women have already welcomed the bad boy of Summer Bay with open arms, and now another resident of the famous fictional town Down Under is planning a visit.
Luke Mitchell, who plays Romeo in the Australian soap, is headed for our shores as part of a two-week UK and Ireland tour this April.
Dundalk, Drogheda, Naas, Cavan, Dublin, Sligo, Kilkenny, Navan, Carlow, Wexford and Wicklow have all made the list of Irish hotspots on the tour, with more still to be added.
Mitchell has played nice guy Todd ‘Romeo’ Smith on the soap since 2009, and is half of one of the soap’s most popular couples with Samara Weaving, who plays Romeo’s wife Indigo.

He may need more clothing for his Irish visit. Don't tell him...
The actor previously appeared in rival soap Neighbours but it is his turn in Home and Away that has turned him into a household name. Sadly for fans of the show it has been reported that their resident Romeo is actually set to leave the series this year – leaving the popular series short of hot topless men to cut to regularly. It remains to be seen whether the character will head for Yabbie Creek or ‘The City’, or break with tradition entirely and plan a move to someplace that actually does exist.
Judging by the reaction of Irish female fans to the visit of Brax, aka Steve Peacocke, Mitchell can look forward to a warm welcome. Unfortunately it’s unlikely that any fan will get a soap shift, as outside of soap land and in real life Mitchell is actually married to his co-star Rebecca Breeds, who plays Ruby Buckton.
You can get the full list of dates and plan a date of your own with the Aussie actor on the Facebook page for the tour here, and to find out how Brax/Steve got on during his Irish visit, check out this interview. We think he liked us...
