Take a cooking class
Because the couple that cooks together stays together. Or something like that. Let’s face it, we all have to eat dinner every night, so why not make an effort to become more adventurous in the kitchen. Pick an international cuisine (that you both enjoy) and put yourselves to the test. Do it as a team (try not to argue over who’ll be the head chef) or turn it into a competition to see who can make the tastiest dish. Watching eachother trying to follow the teacher’s instructions while decked out in a cute apron is an experience that’s sure to bring you closer together.
Go to the zoo
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: you can’t beat a day out at the zoo. Who doesn't like to see exotic creatures live and in colour? If your other half isn't an animal fan, we'd probably start to question the relationship right about now. Ireland is home to some of the best zoos in Europe (we’re talking about Fota and Dublin Zoo, of course), so why not pretend you’re on your holliers and head to the one nearest you. It'll be turtley awesome (ahem).
Hit the dancefloor
A good majority of Irish men might shudder at the idea of busting a move, but if you can convince your other half to join you for a dance class, we guarantee that you'll both enjoy it. Alternatively, head to a club or a bar where you know you won't run into any of your friends, let loose and have fun!
Road trip
Hit the open road and head for somewhere you’ve never been before as a couple. If you've been together for a while it might feel as if you've been everywhere together. Well, that's just not possible. There's always somewhere new to explore. Invest in a sat nav, make a playlist and take off together. It can be somewhere sentimental like a favourite childhood spot or a tourist attraction that neither of you have ever visited.
Take in a concert
There's nothing better than taking in a great gig with your other half. Surely there's at least one show coming up in your area that you'd both enjoy. Do some research after you've read this article and get booking those tickets now!
Do something silly
Paint-balling, pitch and putt, laser quest, a few rounds on the bumper cars. It doesn't matter what it is, but doing something totally ridiculous with your partner is always good craic. Acting like a pair of big kids together will remind you why he's your perfect match.
