Brian Ormond recently admitted to seeking work in the UK but now he has set his sights further afield and is hoping to land a presenting role on X Factor USA.
The Irish favourite has thrown his name into the presenting hat for the talent show, and is keen to work along side Simon Cowell on the American version of the hit show.
The talent show is currently in the boot camp stages but it has yet to debut a new presenter after the departure of Steve Jones.

Brian is up against stars such as Mario Lopez and Kim Kardashian to land the role but he said he hopes to be considered after meeting Simon Cowell on 2003’s Pop Idol.
“Watching X Factor USA – 8 minutes in and still now sign of a host? Why didn’t you give me a shout,” he tweeted notorious meanie Simon.

The RTÉ presenter recently spoke about losing out on presenting RTÉ’s The Voice, which he auditioned to star as Kathyrn Thomas’ co-host.
Brian is currently competing in Celebrity Bainisteoir along with his wife Pippa O’Connor and other famous managers including Mary Byrne, Calum Best and Paddy Doherty.
