Sam Barton, who has been described as “Britain’s Vainest Man”, is pleading with the NHS to reverse the plastic surgery he underwent to look like TOWIE star Joey Essex.

The 23-year-old forked out a whopping £50,000 to look like his icon, including rhinoplasty, hair transplants, veneers and  botox.

Now, he has revealed that he has grown out of his obsession with Joey Essex and wants to reverse the work he has had done, according to The Metro.

Speaking to Birmingham Mail, he said: “When I was chasing my dream to look like Joey Essex I was 18. Now I’m 23 and have grown up. I want my own identity.

“He was my idol. I still like Joey Essex, I’ve met him loads of times, but I no longer aspire to look like him. It is time to go back to a more natural look.’

“When I finally got the look I craved I realised I was no happier, so now I want to go back to how I looked before. I want my own identity. I want to be Sam Barton and not Joey Essex.

Sam has already had his false hair removed and plastic fillers taken out of his lips.

He also hopes to replace his white veneer teeth which cost £17,500 and replace them with more natural looking teeth, which will cost £10,000, and wants a nose job.

Barton was due to enter the Big Brother House in May, but Channel 5 reportedly stopped him when he threatened to headbutt Josie Cunningham in a Facebook row.
