Brother and Sister Separated For 15 Years Reunite…After Matching On Tinder

You couldn't make it up!

After downloading dating app Tinder, you might expect some light-hearted banter and a bit of flirting in a bid to meet a potential suitor.

However, it’s not always that straightforward as Erik de Vries and Josephine Egberts found out recently.

The pair swiped right after seeing pictures of each other, indicating a match.

According to the NL Times, neither Erik nor Josephine had any idea they were looking at pictures of their sibling.

They lost contact when their parents separated in 1999, Erik moved to Belgium with their father and brother Maarten while Josephine remained with her mother in the family’s hometown of Breda, Holland.

Once they started chatting, Erik soon suspected that this might be his long-lost sister and started asking Josephine questions about where she grew up.

It quickly became apparent that the two were much closer than they had first thought and they arranged to meet up for the first time in 15 years.

Speaking after their reunion, Josephine said: “When I saw him, it was suddenly very clear.

“It was so special to see my own blood brother again after 16 years”.
