And we thought spring had arrived...
Forecasters have warned that the Big Freeze is set to hit Ireland this weekend with temperatures plummeting to as low as -10 degrees.
Irish Weather Online reported the latest weather models show snow showers today and tomorrow which will be accompanied by winds of up to 100km/h.

Wednesday night is set to be coldest this week with temperatures as low as -6.
Forecaster Peter O’Donnell has also said a severe cold spell could follow from next weekend and bring with it some arctic conditions.
He added there might be limited recovery time in the daytime with the possibility of freezing fog and ‘ice days’, where the daily highest temperatures are below freezing.
