Bucket List Time: Seven Of The World’s Most Stunning Beaches

All of these need to be visited. Immediately!

Her

Confession time. Here at Her HQ we spend a good portion of our week daydreaming. It’s one of our favourite group hobbies. Picturing ourselves as Jennifer Lawrence’s BFF, filling our virtual baskets for shopping trips to NYC, winning The X Factor. And that’s just from this morning.

Our number one most recurring daydream, however, is kicking off our flip flops, and stepping onto the powder-soft sands of a paradise beach. Just heavenly.

With that in mind, we’re counting down seven of the most beautiful beaches in he world. And let’s just imagine we’re all there together…

1. Anse Lazio, Praslin Island, Seychelles

On the hunt for the most postcard-perfect beach holiday? Look no further. Nestled off the east coast of Africa, the Seychelles is synonymous with paradise beaches. Lots and lots of them. Our pick of the bunch? Anse Lazio. Perched on the northwest coast of the picturesque Praslin Island, it’s considered one of the best beaches in the archipelago. And that’s saying something. Swim and snorkel in the turquoise blue Indian Ocean, take a stroll along the powdery-soft sand and indulge in a cocktail or two under the palm trees. Bliss.

2. Wineglass Bay, Tasmania

If you’re reading this from Oz, start planning your trip to Tasmania – NOW! What awaits? The epic Freycinet national park which includes part of the rugged eastern Tasmanian coastline and the oh-so-secluded Wineglass Bay and its gorgeous beach. Reaching the sparkling turquoise waters involves a hike through Freycinet, but boy is it worth it!

3. Maya Bay, Ko Phi Phi, Thailand

Thailand

Home to Leo di Caprio’s The Beach, magical Maya Bay is guaranteed to take your breath away. And that’s without even meeting the man himself! Hop on a longtail boat from Koh Phi Phi and soak in the incredible views along the way. Snorkel in the crystal clear waters and lap up the sunshine on the beach. If we could click our heels and go  anywhere in the world, Maya Bay would be our number one choice!

4. Portsalon Beach, Co. Donegal

That’s right, this spectacular stretch of beach is on our very own little island. Pencil in a road trip to Donegal before the summer’s out – and don’t forget to bring your surf gear. You won’t be sorry.

5. Rabbit Beach, Sicily

Sitting pretty on Isola dei Conigli, Italy’s southernmost island, Rabbit Island beach is a whopping 150 mile trip from mainland Italy. And it’s so worth the trek. This picturesque stretch of golden sand and gleaming blue waters is as remote as it gets in Europe. And before you ask, it’s not home to a huge number of rabbits – instead you’ll find lots of loggerhead turtles and more exotic wildlife wandering through the rocky grottos around the beach. Incredible.

6. Nha Trang Beach, Vietnam

Planning a trip to Vietnam? Nha Trang beach is a must-visit spot. Offering a stunning contrast to the chic boulevards of Ho Chi Minh and the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, the gorgeous stretch of golden sand is magnificent. Take us back there now.

7. Baia do Sancho, Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

South America is top of our travel wishlist. And a trip to this gorgeous stretch of coastline is on our  To-Do list. Fernando de Noronho, an archipelago of 21 islands off the east coast of Brazil, is home to endless pristine beaches, but Baia de Sancho steals the show. Why? It’s tricky to reach which means it’s a haven of peace and quiet – and you’re guaranteed to see some incredible wildlife (turtles, dolphins and rays to name a few) up close and in colour. Time to start looking up flights!

That’s our daydreaming over for the day – as you were, people…

This Beach Bucket List is brought to you by new innocent bubbles – a lightly sparkling blend of fruit juice and spring water (and absolutely nothing else) and is a bit like a posh holiday – but without the pesky sand.
