If you remember back to when you were a young child, you no doubt had a special toy. Whether it was a doll, a teddy bear or a truck, that thing came everywhere with you and God forbid you lost it. Unfortunately, when a 5-year-old girl from Australia went to visit Buckingham Palace this summer, she left behind her beloved teddy monkey. Savannah Hart lost the monkey, called Harriet, while trying to get a glimpse of the Queen and thought she would never see the toy again. However, when she returned to school, Harriet's class and teacher decided it might be worth trying to get the monkey back, so they wrote a letter to Buckingham Palace and attached photos of the monkey. To Savannah's surprise, palace staff found the teddy and returned it to the school girl - along with a little surprise. So Harriet wasn't alone in the 9,000 mile journey, Buckingham Palace sent over a stuffed toy Corgi along with her. A spokesperson for the palace told People: "We aim to give every visitor to Buckingham Palace a memorable experience, and after we had found Harriet the monkey near the Family Pavilion, she spent some time helping out the Visitor Services team before heading home.
