Rachel Allen’s Cake Diaries – RTÉ One (7.30pm)

Tonight the chef is preparing three retro cakes: an Arctic roll, a Bakewell cake and a Battenberg.

 

The National Television Awards 2013 – UTV (7.30pm)

Dermot O’Leary is hosting the annual ceremony which celebrates the best of the small screen. There will also be performances from Psy as well as Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.

 

The Great Comic Relief Bake Off – BBC Two (8.00pm)

Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds and comedian Bob Mortimer are among the stars hoping to impress Mary Berry in the kitchen this evening.

 

Africa – BBC One (9.00pm)

This week David Attenborough is exploring the rainforest. He will be discussing the mating rituals of butterflies as well as the journey of the green turtle and the ferocity of the great white shark.

 

The Fighter – RTÉ One (9.35pm)

Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale star in this drama based on the life of boxer Micky Ward who has to decide between his family and his fighting career.
