Has somebody inspired you with their determination and courage? Do you know someone in your community or local club who would be worthy of a National Award?
The People of the Year Awards are back in town and they are calling out for nominations for your local heroes across the country.
This is your last chance to nominate those who you thought were an inspiration to their community over the last year. The final day for submitting nominations is June 14th. The awards will be broadcast on RTE on Saturday, September 14th.
One person in particular we think would be worthy of a nomination is Alison from Killaloe County Clare, who has spent her spare time making friendship quilts and donating these to charity.

Alison lost her best friend to cancer in January and is hoping to make 49 quilts to honour her memory and donate to Cancer Research.
If you have someone you think would be a worthy winner or indeed an organisation which has made a difference, head over to the People of the Year nominations page and nominate them.
You can nominate your chosen person or organisation at www.peopleoftheyear.com
