You can now bring your pup to a Dachshund Hotel in the UK

This is class.

As much as we love going away and staying in a hotel, sometimes it's our dogs that need a break like this just as much as we do.

Well, now your pooch can head off on a holiday just like its owner, or more realistically while you're off enjoying yourself and need someone to take care of them.

Hotel Dachshund is a hotel dedicated to looking after sausage dogs, so if you've got one of these pups, you're going to want to keep reading.

Located in Little Dunmow, outside Felsted in Essex, Hotel Dachshund houses dogs as day guests, overnight guests and even extended guests.

Samantha Mannock, the hotel's owner, hosts a whole lot of activities to keep these little pups occupied while you're gone, with soft toys for them to play with as well as a two-tier soft play.

Not only do they get toys, they also go on daily adventures with a walk off the lead in the local countryside.

Each guest at the hotel wears a tracker linked to Samantha's phone so she knows where the dogs are at all times.

But it's birthdays that really are the best time to go as they'll have their own part with dog-friendly birthday cake, a birthday bandana, a souvenir photo of the event and party games.

While it is only for dachshunds, other breeds are allowed to stay if they have a dachshund brother or sister.

Speaking to Teamdogs.co.uk, Samantha says that the idea came about after she got her own dachshund Rolo and struggled to find somewhere to have him looked after that fit his needs.

Samantha said: "After teaching for a long time and during lockdown I realised that what the dachshund community needed was a boarding and day care facility that catered purely for sausage dogs with somebody at the helm who understood their very specific needs.

"This is why I set up Hotel Dachshund. The hotel is luxury all the way. There is no shortage of cuddles, pampering, attention, long walks in the countryside and lots of comfy sofas complete with warm blankets to snuggle under.

"The mummies and daddies of all the little sausage guests all say that they love the fact that their little daxies get everything they need at the hotel and enjoy their breaks as they know their little sausages are loved in a home from home environment by myself, my daughter and of course Rolo who started this journey."
