You can now buy this island filled with cute penguins and we’re moving ASAP

Well, this would be delightful.

If you just think that penguins are one of the cutest animals in this world, then you might be interested in buying an island FILLED with them.

Pebble Island, located in the Falkland Islands is up for sale and we’re seriously considering buying it (you know, if we had a couple million to spare and the knowledge of looking after penguins).

It was bought in 1869 by John Markham Dean and is now owned by a surviving relative, Claire Harris.

Claire told the Metro: “My family are all passionate about the island but we’ve come to a point where we’re unable to manage it from the UK.

“People have been waiting for Pebble Island to come up for sale for many years. It’s really impossible to know how much the Island will sell for as it’s the first time it’s come up for sale in 150 years next year, so we have no idea.”

She continued: “A foreign person would have to offer a substantial amount more than a Falkland Islander for us to accept it. In many ways we would love a Falkland Islander to buy, whether that will happen we don’t’ know.

“It could be someone involved in the sheep business or a farmer, someone who buys the wool or someone who wants to improve tourism or anything really.”

The island is filled with five different species of penguin; Macaroni, Rockhopper, Gentoo, Magellanic and Southern Giant Petrel penguins.
