Chris O’Dowd came top of the men’s list which isn’t surprising considering that humour is also the most desirable trait in a friend for Irish adults.

Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox were crowned the best duo having taken their friendship off-screen.

The study also turned up some interesting findings when it comes to friendship itself

A third of the male of the species were more inclined to spend under €25 on theirs.
