Can’t Get Tickets to the All-Ireland? You Might Want to Avail of This Offer

A free day out for GAA fans!

Rebecca McKnight

On Sunday week, September 6th, GAA Christmas arrives as Croke Park plays host to the All-Ireland Hurling final.

Kilkenny fans, Galway fans and neutral fans of the game all across the country will be engaged in the mad dash for tickets right up to the day itself, but with demand far outstripping availability, this initiative might prove very popular with families.

Today ODEON cinemas have announced that for the fourth year running they will partner with the GAA to screen the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final.

FREE tickets for this iconic Irish sporting occasion are available online now at GAA.tickets.ie, with screens open from 3.00pm.

It’s a far cheaper day out for fans who want to see Ireland’s most successful hurling county, Kilkenny, play for their 36th All-Ireland Championship final title against underdogs Galway, who have not held the title since 1988 but who overcame Tipperary in a semi-final that proved to be a showcase of the game.

Lisa Clancy, Director of Communications at GAA said “Screening the GAA All-Ireland Hurling and Football Finals in ODEON Cinemas nationwide is a fantastic way to soak up the electric atmosphere for those who can’t make it to Croke Park on All-Ireland Final Day. We hope GAA fans and families will take advantage of this unique opportunity and come and enjoy the entertainment and skills of our great game of hurling on the big screen on one of the biggest days in the GAA calendar”.

Douglas Brennan Brand Manager of ODEON Cinemas Ireland said today “This is our fourth year partnering with the GAA to show both the All-Ireland Hurling and Football finals. We are delighted to be able to screen and share these iconic Irish moments with families across the country and are thrilled to be offering a complimentary cinematic experience to our ODEON customers. We look forward to welcoming and seeing our screens full of colour with proud supporters of Galway and Kilkenny in their jerseys, but leave the hurleys and sliotars at home! We expect that GAA fans from all counties will take advantage of this free family day out across all of our cinemas.”
