We know that mass can drag on a bit now and then but it seems the congregation in Cavan is in a serious hurry to get home after their Sunday morning sermon.
Alongside details of the upcoming pilgrimage to Lourdes and the total of last week’s church collection, massgoers at St Bartholomew’s Church in Munterconnaught were shocked to find a stern warning from management recently.
They were told in no uncertain terms that mass organisers would not be held responsible for any injuries sustained in a rush for the door following a ceremony.
Given the tone taken, we’re pretty sure this is directed at that little group hanging around the exit for that long-awaited ‘Go in peace’!
