One student’s luck has come in after £3,600 worth of goods got delivered to his address by Amazon – who told them he could keep it all after an internal technical glitch.
Robert Quinn had an early visit from Santa, when 51 packages turned up at his home in Bromley… and they just keep coming.
So far the student has received packages including:
A Samsung 55 inch TV worth £889
A Galaxy Pro 12 inch Tablet worth £338
A baby buggy worth £150
A leaf blower worth £120
A single bed worth £50
A pirate dressing up kit worth £10
The 22-year old tried contacting Amazon to arrange for the packages to be collected and redistributed, telling The Sun:
"At first I phoned up Amazon and they said that people must be 'gifting' them to me, but there's no way that's happening because I don't know any of these people.
"I was worried that people were losing out on their stuff so I phoned Amazon again and said I'm happy to accept these gifts if they are footing the cost, but I'm not happy if these people are going to lose out. But Amazon said 'it's on us'."
The student now plans to donate some of the items to charity, while selling others to raise money to invest in his own small business.
Looks like he made it onto the nice list this year…
