It is the definitive list for parents around the world hoping to give their child a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience: places that could change the way your kids see the world, their perception of life, unique spots that could open their minds forever.
CNN have revealed the top ten places in the world that could change your child’s life, and you’ll never guess what Irish town made the cut.
Trim, Co Meath was listed on the American-centric list alongside world renowned spots such as New York City, the Grand Canyon and the Galapagos Islands, as one of the ten must-see places for your child.
The article reads: “Travel can introduce kids to the world's real-life wonders, changing their perspective on topics they may have only read about in books.
“It can literally change their lives.”
Keith Bellows, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Traveler magazine and author of National Geographic’s 100 Places That Can Change Your Child’s Life, told CNN that when you slow down and appreciate a place its “magic”.
"There is a kid's way of seeing the world," he said.
"As an adult, get out of the way, and stop marching them through an experience. When you get them to slow down and experience a place from their perspective, it's magic. Not just the place itself, but the experience."
