Come on baby like my fire... They are not the words of The Doors classic hit, but the sentiment behind one US woman's absurd Facebook post.
Sadie Renee Johnson decided to take matters into her own hands when some firefighter friends needed work.
The Oregon native lit a small firework, which is threw from a car onto a ditch at a roadside in Oregon.
Her actions began a blazing wildfire that spread across 80 square miles (51,000 acres) of Warm Springs Indian Reservation.
According to
Sky News, the incident took place in July of last year and was not fully extinguished until September, costing almost $8 million (€6.04) to bring under control.
Two days following the fire, the 23-year-old updated her Facebook status, boasting: "Like my fire?”
Detectives then questioned Johnson, who revealed she had started the blaze for her firefighter friends, claiming they were 'bored'.
Johnston told authorities she believed the fire would only burn for two days. [Pic via KTVZ]
US Justice Department released case details on Friday, the woman could face a maximum of five years in prison.
