Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley had a magnificent way of dealing with a man who cheated on her

Magnificent.

Cathy Donohue

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

They say you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your prince/princess and there’s no denying the truth in this age-old saying.

Unfortunately, said frogs can bring heartache, particularly when cheating is involved.

Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley is well-known and much-loved for her role as Eva Price on the popular soap and a storyline about to play out on the soap sees Eva cheated on.

Her boyfriend Aidan gets up close and personal with Maria and of course, this can only spell heartbreak for Eva.

Chatting about the betrayal, which aired on the soap this week, Catherine said that she was able to draw on personal experience for this particular plotline.

Speaking to Women’s Own, she said:

“I have been cheated on. I’ve poured nail varnish into game consoles and thrown phones in canals.

“I’m perfectly qualified to play a woman scorned!”.

Thankfully, that’s all in the past for Catherine, who’s now happily married to Tom Pitfield, a personal trainer.

The couple, who have a son named Alfie (1), tied the knot earlier this year and if you didn’t see her fabulous wedding dress, you can check it out here.

In other news, things are only going to get worse for Maria in the coming weeks as her beloved dog Ozzy, given to her by her late husband Liam, will be killed off in an upcoming storyline.

Now, that will be one sad episode. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
