You’ll never buy a large takeaway coffee again after this

We are mad. Really mad.

LIES!

If you battle an internal struggle every time you’re at the coffee counter and want a large but KNOW you should get a regular, this might be of interest to you.

The incredibly naughty people at Costa Coffee have had to admit something this week… there’s NO extra coffee in a large latte compared to a regular.

Let that sink in.

It all kicked off when coffee-lover Paul Hopkinson dropped a bombshell online – he could fit his large Costa latte into a regular cup.

The folk at Costa responded, and we were pretty convinced by what they had to say.

They explained:

‘I can assure you you’re not being duped in any way. The regular cup is a 12oz and the large is a 16oz so there is 4 fluid oz in size difference. Plus you also get the extra shot of coffee, hence the price difference!

‘Also for safety reasons there is no way we would be able to fill the cup that high as it would end up burning someone. If you want any further info drop me an email on [email protected] – Adam’

Sound.

Or not.

They have now been forced to admit that this does not apply to lattes, the drink that happens to feature in Paul’s video.

The truth is, there are only two shots of espresso in both the large and the regular lattes, which means there is technically NO extra coffee in a large – just more milk.

A spokesperson told Buzzfeed

“A large Costa Express latte is the only drink where both the large and regular has two shots.”

The CHEEK!
