Budgeting for your Christmas dinner this year?
You probably won’t be splashing out on this extravagant meal…
Former Fat Duck chef Ben Spalding has put together the ultimate Christmas meal for four at a cost of a massive €154,000. The festive feast is packed with the finest food and drink found anywhere in the world, and will be cooked by Ben in the lucky, and very rich, purchaser’s home.
But it’s not out of greed Ben has created such an expensive spread. He will donate 80 per cent of his fee to charity.
So what does the menu have to offer?
The main course consists of a rare breed of turkey with Wagyu beef fillet and heart which will set you back more than €6,000. The joint will be wrapped in edible carat gold leaf and sprinkled in €6,000 worth of Akbari Pistachios.

Imagine this menu on your table at Christmas...
Other lavish ingredients in the four-course meal include the world’s most expensive melon from China which costs €3,000 and a whole white truffle worth €4,000.
On top of the spectacular food is a €46,000 bottle Champagne which pre-dates World War One and is served in diamond-studded champagne flutes. Wow-wee…
How about the world's most expensive mince pie to enjoy post-meal? If you're not too stuffed up, that is.
The meal is a one-off being sold online, but has not found a buyer yet.
Marcel Knobil, who has hosted the meal on his site, said: "This menu is certainly for expensive taste-buds but it will be an unrivalled gastronomic delight.
"It fits perfectly into our remit of enabling individuals to be the first to know about, and have, newly launching luxury products and experiences."
So, how’s that turkey coming along?
