Countdown To The 10K – Week 3 Of The Her.ie Running Challenge With Life Style Sports

As part of the Life Style Sports #GirlsRunTheWorld campaign, Michelle McMahon, Editor of Her.ie and Sue Murphy, TV&Film Editor, were challenged to run a 10k race after 12 weeks of training.

For Week 3 of the campaign, Michelle and Sue went along to the Phoenix Park with their trainer Peter Kern from PB3 Coaching.

It’s been a really positive week for the girls. Sue is still off the running as she strained her knees, but she is in physio now and slowly but surely on the road to recovery. She has also been swimming every morning so she’s increasing her fitness level with every day that passes.

Michelle has had a good week too, as Peter is finally awarding her some praise for her techniques! It’s becoming easier, and her focus now is on sustaining the running and upping her speed. She’ll be taking on her first organised race while in New York on holidays in two week’s time. Some holiday! But she is determined to earn a medal.
