Nigel Slater’s Dish of the Day – BBC One (7:30pm)
In the new series the famous food writer takes the items of his weekly shop and creates no less than seven different dishes. So that’s basically your whole week’s dinner sorted. Thank you very much Mr Slater!

It’s an Irish Thing – RTÉ One (8:30pm)
Taken star Liam Neeson, Irish comedian Karl Spain and few other famous faces reveal what it is they love and hate about this wonderful country of ours. See if they share your views.

Me and Mrs Jones – BBC One (9:30pm)
The six-part comedy starring Sarah Alexander, Robert Sheehan and Neil Morrissey kicks off tonight. It looks at the complicated life of Gemma Jones as she attempts to balance love, motherhood and everything else. From the people that brought you Men Behaving Badly.

Moone Boy – Sky 1 (9:30pm)
Boohoo! It’s the last of the series which means we won’t get our weekly fix of Chris O’Dowd. Martin begins his last week of primary school but decides that he wants to go out with a bang. As always, expect lots of laughs.

The Hitcher – TV3 (10:30pm)
In this remake of the original, Sophia Bush and Jim Halsey play the couple who offer a hitchhiker a lift only to find out that he’s a cold-blooded killer who is trying to frame them for his murders. Also starring Sean Bean.
