It has been reported that cult 1990s TV show Twin Peaks is going to be returning to our screens in the near future.
Mark Frost and David Lynch’s mystery drama originally ran on TV in the USA for two seasons in 1990 and 1991. However, it has been revealed that nine brand new episodes will go into production in 2015 to then be broadcast in 2016 on American TV network, Showtime.
According to reports, both Frost and Lynch will be back on board to write and produce all nine episodes. While no formal announcement has been made about Kyle MacLachlan. According to
Deadline, it is believed that MacLachlan will take up the role of FBI agent Dale Cooper once more.
A teaser trailer has been released, which doesn’t really give much away, but Lynch has also taken to Twitter to tease the show’s return.
