Dancing, Downton and Doctor Who: The Best of Tonight’s TV

From more dancing celebrities to Mrs Brown’s Boys, there’s plenty to keep you entertained tonight! Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special – BBC One (5.00pm) This year’s series might be over but a new bunch of celebrities will be taking to the dance floor to show off their moves in this one-off special. Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor – BBC One (7.30pm) Peter Capaldi takes over the role of the doctor on tonight’s episode which marks the end of a fantastic year for the sci-fi series. EastEnders – RTÉ One (8.25pm) The Queen Vic is under new management and a surprising gift arrives for Kat and Alfie who have been having a hard time of it lately. Downton Abbey – UTV (8.30pm) Martha arrives back from New York as the family gather at Grantham House and Robert resorts to extreme measures to protect his family. Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special – RTÉ One (9.25pm) Mrs Brown must try to find out what Bono wants for Christmas while also trying to keep her temper (and guests) under control.
