A Mumsnet user has compiled a list of the old-fashioned courtesies that used to define a gentleman.
The list was compiled by user ‘LaurieFairyCake’ earlier this week and it is
getting a lot of attention online.
She based her findings on what she saw in period dramas and they include behaviours such as helping you into a coat, opening the car door, offering their arm on difficult terrain and ordering the bill.
The thread got a good few reactions with some revealing that their partner doesn’t do any of them while others were quite pleased that their other half ticked most of the boxes.
