Dog leotards exist – and they could actually be very good for your pupper

Not a want but a need.

Dog leotards are here - and could actually be very good for your pooch

Where do you stand on dressing your dog?

Lots of us really don’t like seeing animals in any kind of clothing – but this might just change your mind.

Dog leotards are now a thing and just LOOK.

We can’t. We just can’t.

These glorious, sleek onesies are from a company called Shed Defender and they don’t exist purely to make dogs look silly (and adorable).

Their slim fit is designed to reduce dogs’ anxiety.

Yes, really.

It looks like there’s something in it too – the slight pressure around the dog is thought to have the same calming effect as a hug and is a technique pet owners use for occasions like Halloween when dogs get worked up.

“It also has been used to stop the constant, antagonizing barking of small dogs,” the Shed Defender website adds.

The leotards are handy for preventing shedding and keeping animal hair off your furniture and car seats too, as well as keeping the dog itself clean when out on a walk.

Not to mention they make dogs look like the guys who go around Electric Picnic in morph suits.

We’re sold.
