Dog Who Went Missing in Texas Six Months Ago Turns Up 2,000 Miles Away

Thankfully he is returning home

Earlier this week Lana the dog made us cry… twice. And now we’ve heard about another feel good dog story that should warm the cockles of your heart.

Thor the pit bull went missing back in May when his owners were forced to flee their home in San Marcos, Texas, due to flooding.

When the family returned to the house, it had been ruined and their three dogs, which they had to leave behind, were missing.

It wasn’t long before two of them turned up but 16-month-old Thor was still missing.

According to FOX San Antonio, six months later he turned up over 2,000 miles away in California.

He apparently jumped out of the back of a truck and stumbled upon an animal shelter who discovered that he was micro-chipped.

Unfortunately Thor’s struggles didn’t stop there as his owner was then unable to pay the $1,500 for his journey home due to the damage caused by the flood.

Thankfully, another truck driver came to the dog’s rescue and offered to make the journey.

What a paw-fect ending…
