Where do we sign up?

You might remember a few months back, one of the Disney Cruises docked in Dublin Port. People were very excited and made their way to the port to catch a glimpse of the massive ship.

The cruise liner, which holds approximately 2,700 passengers and 900 staff, comes complete with its own pools and Disney-inspired decor.

Getting a trip on that kind of boat is the stuff of dreams.

Now, imagine working on it?

Disney Cruises have put a call out for applications for various roles within the areas of; Food and Beverage, Culinary, Hospitality, Sales and Merchandise, and Engineers and Officers.

They’ve said that crew members need to be “team players with high energy, outgoing, can-do personalities, have a passion for customer service, comfortable working in a multicultural environment with a hunger for learning and development”.

With the jobs, you get to travel the world, earn a good living and you also get your room and board completely free. But, they do stress that you have to work long hours, seven days a week and live in shared accommodation.

The contracts for the roles are usually four to six months, depending on positions.

They have the following requirements for the roles:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Speak English fluently.
  • For operational roles: have worked for the two years preceding your application in the position which you are applying for.
  • For management roles: have worked for the four years preceding your application in the position which you are applying for.
