A very special day for Jayvon
After a ride in their cruisers, they took a helicopter over the city before landing at headquarters, where Jayvon met Detroit Police Chief James Craig.
He was then sworn into office.
Not only that, he got to see how the department worked and even attended a press conference.
Amanda is very proud of her son
It was just so amazing to see him so grown up and so mature," said Amanda. "It made me a proud mom, I was just so happy to see him happy."
Jayvon will have to get chemotherapy for the next three years as part of his treatment plan and this prompted the hospital to organise a special day for the little boy.
