Halloween must have come a little early for drunken Alison Whelan, who yesterday stole a ferry while impersonating a character from the Pirates of The Caribbean films.
Alison must love a bit of Johnny Depp and after binging on alcohol and hallucinogenic drugs for two days she decided to hijack a vessel dressed as her film idol Captain Jack Sparrow and sail away down a river in Dartsmouth, England.

Drunken Alison Whelan hijacked a ferry yesterday impersonating her hero
According to The Irish Sun, the woman jumped onto the 100-seat passenger boat, Dart Princess, and took the controls before leaving the harbour.
Alison then called the police and roared: “I’m Jack Sparrow. What are you going to do now? I believe this is out of your jurisdiction."
Unfortunately for Alison, it really wasn’t out of their jurisdiction and the runaway pirate was nabbed and cuffed as 30 policemen, coastguards and paramedics chased her down the river, before climbing aboard.
Magistrates in Devon have found the Jack Sparrow impersonator guilty of aggravated vehicle taking, a charge usually imposed when one steals a car.

Police arrested Whelan after she stole the Dart Princess yesterday
Jack Sparrow won’t see the open seas for at least 122 days as Alison Whelan was sentenced to prison for her failed attempt at modern day piracy.
Her.ie thinks she should lay off the hallucinogens for a bit and we’re sure she’ll think twice about shouting shiver-me-timbers in the future.
We wonder if she'll let us borrow her costume for Halloween...
